Diablo 4 Warlock Items to Trade: What Sells and What to Keep

The Diablo 4 Warlock items worth trading are the ones other Warlocks can't easily farm for themselves. That means rares with the exact affix combination a popular build needs, the non-Mythic uniques those builds are built around, and well-rolled Charms and Seals. Mythic Uniques are account-bound and can never be traded. This guide covers how to tell which drops are worth listing for gold, which to keep, and which to salvage without a second look.

What a Warlock can and cannot trade

Diablo 4 trades in-game gold and items. For a Warlock, that breaks down like this:

The Warlock arrived with Lord of Hatred alongside the Paladin, which brought Diablo 4 to eight classes. Being a newer class changes its market in two ways. First, demand follows whichever builds the community settles on, and that can shift quickly while people are still experimenting. Second, fewer players have spent time farming specifically for Warlock gear, so strong rolls can be scarcer than they are for older classes. Both points mean you should check an item before you salvage it.

Rares: where most Warlock gold comes from

Most players earn more gold from rares than from uniques. Uniques get the attention, but rares are where the volume is, and a good one can sell for more than a mediocre unique. A rare is worth listing when it hits most of these points:

  1. The right slot. Slots that carry the affixes builds care about sell better than slots most players fill with whatever drops.
  2. The right affixes together. One great affix next to three useless ones rarely sells. Buyers search for items that already have several of the affixes their build wants on the same piece.
  3. High rolls. Two items with the same affixes are not equal. The higher-rolled one is the one buyers pay a premium for, and the gap between an average roll and a top roll is often large.
  4. Endgame item power. Players pushing endgame content want endgame-level gear. Lower item power pieces are leveling gear and sell cheaply, if they sell at all.

To learn which affixes Warlock builds want, read the current build guides and note what keeps showing up. That usually means the class's core stat plus the damage and defensive affixes the popular builds list. Those are your keepers. An item with the class's core stat and nothing else it needs is usually salvage. Our guides section covers the trading side for several other classes, and those guides are worth reading too, since the logic of what makes a rare valuable carries across.

Non-Mythic uniques worth listing

Non-Mythic uniques are tradeable, and for a newer class they can be some of the most sought-after items early on. What sets their value:

The practical lesson is not to hoard. If you find a build-defining unique you aren't going to use, list it while demand is high. If a build falls out of favor after a balance change, the uniques tied to it can lose most of their value quickly, and a full stash tab of them won't help you.

Charms and Seals

Charms and Seals are tradeable in Diablo 4, and they deserve the same attention as your gear drops. Treat them like rares:

The price index explains what each item type is, whether it trades and what drives its value. Use it to figure out which properties buyers care about before you decide whether a Charm or Seal is worth listing.

Picking up Warlock loot on any class

You don't have to play a Warlock to profit from Warlock gear. If the class is popular, drops for it are worth gold no matter who finds them. The hard part is spotting them in the middle of a clear, and that's what a loot filter is for.

Diablo 4 has an in-game Loot Filter. Only one filter can be active at a time, and each filter holds up to 25 rules. Each rule has a mode (Show, Hide or Recolor) and a color. For a trading setup, these work well:

On PC, enable the Loot Filter shortcut under Options > Gameplay, then open Game Menu > Loot Filter and use Import to paste an export code. Name the filter and set it active. Consoles can't paste codes, so console players rebuild the rules by hand. Every filter on our loot filters page shows its decoded rule list (rule name, mode and color), which works as a checklist for that. You'll find Warlock filters there to start from, and you can add a few Recolor rules for trade targets.

Pricing and trading safely

Set prices with some research. A practical routine:

  1. Check what drives the item's value on /prices. It's a reference for what an item is, whether it trades and what makes it valuable, not a real-time record of current market prices.
  2. Compare similar listings. Look at what items with the same affixes and similar rolls are listed for on the trade board, then price slightly under if you want a quick sale.
  3. Adjust over time. If nothing happens after a while, your price is probably too high. Drop it in small steps instead of all at once.

Trade habits that protect you on any site:

The board here is for gold, runes and items only. Buying or selling items or gold for real money breaks Blizzard's terms of use and can get an account actioned, so keep every Warlock trade in-game currency or item for item. If you're new to the process, the step-by-step on how Diablo 4 trading works covers the trade window itself.

Frequently asked questions

Can I trade Mythic Uniques on my Warlock?

No. Mythic Uniques are account-bound in Diablo 4 and can never be traded, on any class. Anyone offering to sell you one is lying or running a scam.

Are Charms and Seals tradeable in Diablo 4?

Yes. Charms and Seals can be traded. Their value depends on whether they fit a popular build and how well they rolled, so judge them the same way you judge a rare.

Where do I check what a Warlock item is worth?

Use the price index at /prices as a value reference for what an item is, whether it trades and what drives its value. Then compare against what similar items are listed for on the trade board before you set a gold price.
